So, now you’re really thinking about going for it and getting your book into print. There are various options and ways of doing it to make sure that it works for both you and me. I have laid out below a very generic outline of how the process works but it can be tweaked to suit any individual circumstances.
It will usually take 4 or 5 meetings and each conversation or meeting will be approximately one hour in length (although I do like to chat so this is approximate!). The conversations are recorded to make sure no vital nugget of info is not missed. The first recorded conversation will be a fact finder for me to get to know you and get a feel for the story you want to tell: how long it may be; how many chapters might be required and under which headings; and how the ghostwriting process is likely to unfold. I will transcribe the conversation and give it some structure to show you at our next meeting and we can chat about how best to continue.
You are consulted at every stage of the process, it is your book after all and you will be given every opportunity to review and help shape it into the final manuscript.
I live in Manchester, UK and I am a writer and ghostwriter. I am passionate about bringing other peoples stories, as well as my own, to life. Life is busy as a proud single mum of 2 teenagers, a house full of pets and a job to work around, but writing is my passion and I am super excited that my first novel, The Suitcase is out very soon.
